Paul Armstrong, M.D. Chairperson
Dr. Armstrong, Chair of the Advisory Board, is Professor in the Department of Medicine, University of Alberta in Edmonton. He brings an international reputation as a leading cardiologist and clinical investigator with extensive expertise in the design and conduct of clinical trials focused on acute ischemic syndromes and congestive heart failure. He has published widely and served as a senior advisor to major organizations and industry. Among his many distinguished activities, Dr. Armstrong has served on the Advisory Committee of the FDA Cardio-Renal Division from 2000 to 2004.

Morris Karmazyn, Ph.D.
Dr. Karmazyn is a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He is internationally recognized and has received numerous distinctions for his research in the field of myocardial ischemia and ischemia reperfusion injury.

Trevor Hassell, M.D.
Dr. Hassell joined the Scientific Advisory Board in December 2003. Dr. Hassell is Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of the West Indies, Barbados, and Consultant Physician and Cardiologist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, also in Barbados. He is Preseident-Elect of the Inter-American Heart Foundation, former President of the Caribbean Cardiac Society and founder, President and member of the Board of Directors of the Heart Foundation of Barbados

A. Michael Lincoff , M.D.
Dr. Lincoff is an interventional cardiologist in the Cleveland Clinic Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and a staff cardiologist in the Joseph J. Jacobs Center for Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, Department of Molecular Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Research Institute.
