Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre: One Night, One Cause Event

At Medicure, we believe in empowering lives-through accessible healthcare and through compassionate community support. On June 5th, 2025, we were honored to sponsor "One Night, One Cause", the annual fundraising event hosted by the Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre (FGWRC), held at the Caboto Centre in Winnipeg.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, the event raised over $24,000-the highest total in the event's history. We're proud that our sponsorship helped FGWRC reach and exceed this milestone.

Why It Matters

The funds raised during this incredible evening will go directly toward providing free counselling and support services to women, gender-diverse individuals, and children across the community. The impact of these services is deeply felt-providing pathways to:

Mental health support through trauma-informed counselling
Safety and crisis intervention services
Empowerment programs for families and children
Resources to help build confidence, independence, and healing
